A quieter stop
The fall drops around thirty metres into a shallow pool, framed by plantation and forest. It will not take your breath away, but it is calm, green and rarely crowded compared with its bigger neighbours a few kilometres away.
An hour is plenty. Most people fold it into a day that also takes in Soochipara.
Easy going
The walk in is short and mostly level, with steps near the end. This is the Wayanad waterfall you can reach without committing to a trek, and the one worth choosing if anyone in the group would struggle with two kilometres of descent and return.
Before You Go
- The easiest of the Meppadi-area falls to reach.
- Flow is modest by late in the dry season.
- Pairs naturally with Soochipara on the same day.
- Footwear still matters — the steps near the pool stay wet.
