The view
From the top you look down the valley towards Meenmutty, with the falls visible in the distance when the flow is strong. The foreground is tea and grassland, and on a clear morning it is among the best open views in the district.
It is also a known paragliding site when conditions allow.
Getting up
The final stretch of track is rough enough that an ordinary car will struggle. Jeeps run the section for a fee, which is the usual arrangement, or you can walk it if you would rather.
Either way the last part is on foot and it is a steep pull, though a short one.
Before You Go
- Take a jeep for the final track; a car will not manage it comfortably.
- Early morning for the clearest view down the valley.
- No shade or facilities at the top — carry water.
- Combine with Meenmutty or Soochipara, which are close by.
