Where to stay
For a honeymoon the property matters more than the itinerary — you will spend more time there than anywhere else. Private pool villas are the usual choice, with plantation bungalows a quieter and often better-value alternative. Treehouses are popular for a night, though they are better as one night of a trip than the whole stay.
The rainforest belt around Vythiri and Lakkidi is the most atmospheric. Meppadi and the tea estates towards Chundale are more open and sunnier. If you want genuine seclusion, the plantation properties towards Mananthavady see far fewer people.
How long to go for
Three nights is the sweet spot. Two feels rushed once you account for the drive up from the airport; four or more and most couples start taking day trips towards Ooty or Coorg.
A common shape: arrive and do nothing, a day for Chembra or the waterfalls, a day on an estate walk and a long lunch, then the drive back.
What we arrange

When to come
October to March is the most comfortable and the most booked. December is beautiful and expensive. April and May are warm but quiet and considerably cheaper.
Monsoon, June to September, divides opinion sharply. The rainforest is extraordinary and rates are at their lowest, but treks close and you will spend most of the trip indoors watching it rain. Some couples want exactly that.

How many days are enough for a Wayanad honeymoon?
Three nights suits most couples. Two is workable but a good part of it goes on travel, and beyond four you will likely want to add Coorg or the coast. We plan around your flights rather than a fixed package length.
Are there private pool villas in Wayanad?
Yes, at several properties across Vythiri, Meppadi and the plantation belt. They are the most requested room type and the first to sell out, so give yourself three to four weeks in season and longer over Christmas and New Year.
Do you offer fixed honeymoon packages?
No, and deliberately. Fixed packages tend to fit the operator rather than the couple. We ask about your dates, budget and what you actually want to do, then put together a plan and cost it clearly. There is no charge for the planning.
Can you arrange a private dinner or decorations?
